Greetings from Church of Peace 06-16-16

Greetings from Church of Peace!

What an exciting Sunday this will be for Church of Peace as we officially break ground for our new addition! Worship's songs and Scripture will turn our hearts toward Christ, the foundation of our faith on whom we can build a strong and healthy life. Then we will move outside where 12 people representing various ministries of Church of Peace will prayerfully and joyfully move the earth with golden shovels. Finally, we will return to a social hour featuring a cake in honor of the ground-breaking. Worship begins at 8:45 a.m., the ground-breaking will begin at 10:15, and social hour will follow. Don't miss this joyful time together!

Rev. Jim Klein, former pastor of Church of Peace, is hospitalized and in treatment for a brain tumor. Please remember Jim and his family in your prayers.

The softball team will play on Monday night at 6:00 at Evan's field. It is really fun to cheer them on. Bring a chair.

Messenger articles for the July-August issue are due on Tuesday.

Church of Peace serves Loaves and Fishes on Wednesday night at St. Paul's Cathedral. We can use your help and your donations.

Construction update: The foundation for most of the new addition has been poured this week.

That's the news from Church of Peace.

We'll see you in church! Pastors Jenny and Jim

A prayer for today: Thank you, Holy Friend, for your gentle guidance in my life which helps me make good decisions and leads me to fulfillment and joy. I pray that I will shine your light into every life I touch today. Bless Jim Klein with a return to health and strength. Amen.
