Greetings from Church of Peace!

Music, music, music! This Sunday’s service brings us inspiring hymns and anthems, sung by Pastor Jim, our daughter Ellie, and a friend named Shelly. Our time will be blessed by the baptism of little Aaron Petersen. The theme of the service will be journeying through life with God. Join us for this harmony-filled service which begins at 8:45 a.m.

A member of our church family has died. A Christian funeral for Pat Klebs will be held Tuesday afternoon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Please remember Pat’s family in your prayers.

Golden Fellowship will convene at 11:00 on Tuesday morning with guest speaker, archaeologist Dwight Wieser. You can bring Native American artifacts for Dwight to examine and explain. A yummy lunch will be served after the meeting. Please sign up on the coat room bulletin board so we can order enough lunch for everyone.

We have 40 blankets hanging on the clothesline in front of the balcony. Each gift of a $10.00 blanket provides warmth and shelter for a family impacted by natural disaster, war, or famine. Please plan to donate several blankets. Your heart will rejoice with this act of generosity!

A prayer for today: Light my way on this dreary day, O God. Although the skies are cloudy, let my spirit shine with your love. In the midst of challenges, show me how to stand courageously and to be compassionate. I ask your healing love to be poured into the hearts of all who grieve the death of Pat Klebs. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
