Greetings from Church of Peace!
“Prepare!” That’s the message
John the Baptist will share with us tonight (6:30) and Sunday morning (8:45) at
our worship services. On Sunday, the
youth choir will sing and little Elin Poirer will be baptized. The Ryan family
will light the candle of peace. Come see the sanctuary transformed week-by-week
in its Advent splendor.
We are getting our church
building spruced up for Christmas. Tomorrow evening and Saturday, we’ll be
painting the hallway. It is a very
looonnnnggg hall, so we can use as many painters as possible. Just show up with
a brush or roller in hand – we’ll provide the paint and the smiles.
This Saturday morning, the
Worship Enhancement Team will be gathering at 9:00 and the Shawl Ministers at
9:30.
Sunday night, the new members group will be
gathering with the pastors and some council members for an orientation meeting.
This Sunday will be the last day
to order poinsettias.

We’ll see you in church! Pastors Jenny and Jim
A prayer for today: As I prepare for the celebration of
Christmas, don’t let me neglect to prepare my spirit, O God. In all of the hubbub around the holidays, I
do not want to forget that a pure and receptive heart is the greatest gift I can
bring to you. Lead me to those who need love; show me ways to bring hope and
peace into the world. Amen.
