Greetings from Church of Peace!

“Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound…” is a favorite hymn of many people. We’ll sing it in worship on Sunday and Pastor Jim will share some history about its author. Come celebrate God’s forgiving love with us! Worship begins at 8:45 a.m.

Christine Weimer is in the hospital. Please remember her when you pray.

This Saturday from 9-noon the 6th through 12th grade youth are gathering to make applesauce for the Fall Festival.

Golden Fellowship meets next Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. for “Summer Show and Tell.” Sign up on the bulletin board so we have enough lunch!

The Fall Festival is only a week and a half away. It’s time to gather your books and jewelry, old treasures and purses. Be sure to save time next week for baking and candy-making. Garden produce in its prime or crafts waiting to be sold? We’d love to sell them at the General Store. You can drop these things off at the church from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. next week. And if you can stay a while and help set up – all the better!

A prayer for today: Spirit of Kindness and Joy, pour down your blessings today and open my eyes to see them clearly. Shine your light into my heart so that I might reflect your love to everyone I meet during these hours. Bless Christine Weimer with a speedy and complete recovery after surgery. Thank you, dear God.
