Greetings from Church of Peace 6-15-17

Greetings from Church of Peace!

Sunday’s service focuses on a life of discipleship. Included in the service will be a time to commemorate the 60th anniversary of our former pastor, Rev. Jerry Schrankler. A social hour in Rev. Jerry’s honor will follow the service.

Is it fixed or isn’t it fixed? We’re speaking of the air conditioner in the sanctuary. We have called in experts who discovered that one of two condenser motors is broken. Will it be here and installed by Sunday? Probably not. The predicted temperature on Sunday morning is mid-70’s so we are not expecting the sanctuary to be too warm for meaningful worship.

Bob Treptow is in the hospital. Please remember Bob in your prayers.

Saturday we will be planting the new landscaping and mulching our yard. Your help will be most gratefully received. We begin at 8:00 a.m. and try to finish up by noon. The new landscaping will be dedicated on Sunday, June 25th.

That’s the news from Church of Peace.

We’ll see you in church! Pastors Jenny and Jim

A prayer for today: What a joy it is to walk each day with you, O God. Thank you for my faith which reminds me of your ever-present help and encouragement. Please show me how to be the hands of Christ in the world. I pray that Bob Treptow may be strengthened by the presence of your Holy Spirit of healing. Amen.
