Greetings from Church of Peace 06/07/2017

Greetings from Church of Peace!

This Thursday greeting is here on Wednesday this week because both of your pastors are attending an all-day seminar in Green Lake on Thursday. The theme of the seminar is “Changes in the Church in this Era.” Ray Beilke and Brenda Post are also participating. Hopefully, we’ll come home with new insights and ideas to keep Church of Peace vibrant and faithful in the coming years.

Sunday is Trinity Sunday which means that the service will focus on the nature of God. What is God like, anyway? What do we know for sure about this Supreme Being? Join us to have some questions answered and your faith strengthened. Worship begins at 8:45 a.m. And, yes, our air conditioning is working!

Although we had planned to bless and dedicate our new landscaping on this Sunday, June 11th, we have had to postpone this blessing until June 25th. Rain on Saturdays has limited what our workers have been able to accomplish. On Saturday, June 17th we plan to plant all the trees and shrubs. Can you help? We hope so!

We know of no one hospitalized at this time.

That’s the news from Church of Peace.

We’ll see you in church! Pastors Jenny and Jim

A prayer for today: On this lovely summer day, O God, my heart finds it easy to sing your praises. Deepen my gratitude from mere words into a desire to serve you well. As I enjoy the natural beauty around me, remind me of my responsibility to care well for your creation. And fill me with a deep sense of your nearness and love. Amen.
