Greetings from Church of Peace 12-14-17

Greetings from Church of Peace!

Tonight we gather at 7:00 p.m. for the Service of Remembrance and Hope. This lovely candle-lit service is gentle and peaceful. It is designed not only for those who are sad this Christmas but also for those who yearn for a quiet time of spiritual restoration.

Joy! Joy! Joy! That is the theme of our Advent worship this Sunday morning. Join us at 8:45 a.m. for an hour of spiritual enlivening and refreshment.

At 10:15 on Sunday morning, our children will present their Christmas Program. Please stay after worship to enjoy this gift of faith from our Sunday School.

We’ll gather at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday for pizza and caroling. Join in as we bring some holiday cheer to folks for whom this Christmas may be difficult. Please sign up on the bulletin board or call the church to sign up. We want to have plenty of pizza.

Terri Hoffman has been a patient in the hospital. Please pray that Terri will recover speedily and completely from surgery.

A prayer for today: In this busy season, O God, I pray that you will slow me down so that I can notice your gentle touches of love. Rekindle within me the flame of faith. Prepare my heart to receive Christ at Christmas. Bless Terri Hoffman with your healing presence. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
